I think I should go to rehab one of these days ! Because my addiction to Amazon is becoming more and more annoying ! Well, not really for me, but for my bank account ^^ Everytime I see something that I find interesting (mostly books at the beginning) but now also computer things, both nice and useful objects and so on, I tend to put them automatically in my shopping cart ! I suppose it could be worse, i.e. I could buy them instantly ^^ However, I am not sure this is of such a relief for me ! It means there is room for worsening compulsive purchases ! Perhaps I am exaggerating a little bit. For instance, I’ve got almost 100 articles in my shopping cart at the moment, and anytime soon I will wish to buy them (OK, not the whole cart in one purchase ^^), and that is a little scary ! But that is also so comfortable when you have an idea of something you would like to get, to register it in your cart and save it for later !

I am aware of gambling websites where the « client » is protected from himself in the sense that you can set a threshold, which, when triggered, prevent the client from gambling or whatever it would take to spend money on the site ! Maybe Amazon should do that 🙂 Or maybe I am just becoming a new kind of compulsive buyer, the compulsive buyer 2.0, addicted to Amazon, but not to real stores and my only option is to go to the rehab 2.0 ^^
